Arrested 'boss' and 8 subjects selling fake sexual enhancement drugs, earning 20 billion VND
The production and trading line of fake physiological support and colon treatment drugs led by Chu Van Dien successfully sold a large amount of fake drugs to consumers with a total value of more than 20 billion VND.
On April 29, Hanoi City Police said that they hadprosecuteagainst Chu Van Dien (born in 1996, residing in Hanoi), Tran Thi Phuong Thao (Dien's wife) and Nguyen Dac Dung (born in 1981, residing in Hoa Binh) for the act of producing and trading fake medicine.
The subjects include: Tran Ich Nam; Ha Quang Dat (born in 1977), Nguyen Kim Chung (born in 1996, all in Hanoi); Nguyen Manh Dung (born in 1999, residing in Phu Tho); Vu Duc Yen (born in 2000, residing in Nam Dinh); Lo Ngoc Minh Quang (born in 1998, residing in Lai Chau) were prosecuted for assisting Chu Van Dien in trading fake medicine.
Above is the development of the investigation expansion of the production and trade of fake physiological support drugs "Khau Vai Leng" and "Dai Trang HG" by Hanoi City Police.
According to the investigation agency, the "boss" of this line is Chu Van Dien. Dien realized the great demand in the market for two types of drugs "Khau Vai Leng" and "Dai Trang HG" (produced and distributed by Mac Minh Cooperative) through the social network Facebook, so he came up with the idea of making fake drugs to sell for profit.

Dien directed his wife, Tran Thi Phuong Thao, to contact Nguyen Dac Dung to produce fake drugs of the two above mentioned brands.
Dien also colluded with Tran Ich Nam to upload videos advertising real drugs of Mac Minh Cooperative on Facebook.
Then, Dien directed his subordinates including Ha Quang Dat, Nguyen Kim Chung, Nguyen Manh Dung, Lo Ngoc Minh Quang and Vu Duc Yen to cut and edit the video, and change the contact phone number of Mac Minh Cooperative with the phone numbers provided by Dien.
This group used a series of fake Facebook accounts such as: "Khau Vai Leng", "Khau Vai Leng - Ancient Mongolian medicine", "Khau Vai Leng - Special treatment for male physiology", "Physiology treatment - Khau Vai Leng", "Genuine Khau Vai Leng", "Khau Vai Leng - Genuine" and "Mac Minh Nam Duoc Cooperative" to advertise and sell fake drugs.
From January to April 2024, this ring successfully sold a large amount of fake drugs to consumers in 58 provinces and cities across the country, with a total value of more than 20 billion VND.
