Previously, on April 8, 22, and 27, gold shops "Duc Chinh", "Dinh Loi" (Thuan An town, Phu Vang district) and "Thuan Thao" (Huong Thuy town) were robbed by a young man pretending to buy gold and then escaped on an Exciter motorbike.

Through camera footage and reports from gold shop owners, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police identified the same person as the one who robbed three gold shops.

After a period of investigation and with the help of the people, Thua Thien Hue criminal police arrested Ho Phan Nhat Tan.

At the investigation agency, Tan confessed that he had passed the entrance exam to a university, but because he had bad friends, was addicted to gambling and gambling, he got into debt. To have money to spend and pay off his debt, Tan rode his motorbike to the three gold shops mentioned above, took advantage of the shop owners' negligence, and robbed the gold.
