The Van Temple - Cua Rao Festival is held annually as an opportunity for local people and visitors from all over to commemorate the great contributions of General Doan Nhu Hai (1280 - 1335), soldiers and people of various ethnic groups who fought against the Ai Lao invaders to protect the southwestern border during the Tran Dynasty.

This year's Van - Cua Rao Temple Festival took place solemnly and sacredly with the opening ceremony, proclamation, sacrifice and thanksgiving ceremony.
The festival took place with exciting activities, cultural exchanges, art competitions, traditional folk singing and dancing performances, ethnic culinary competitions and traditional ethnic sports such as crossbow shooting, folding, throwing, and folk games such as carving furrows, swinging, and bamboo pole dancing.
