Opening of the 13th National Women's Congress
This morning, March 10, at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), the 13th National Women's Congress, term 2022-2027, solemnly opened, with the participation of 959 official delegates.
Delegates attending the congress represented women of all classes, ethnicities, religions, ages, professions, fields of work and different regions across the country.
Among the delegates attending the congress, the oldest delegate is 80-year-old Tran To Nga from the Ho Chi Minh City delegation; the youngest delegate is 24-year-old Le My Quynh, valedictorian of the Cryptography Academy in 2021, from the delegation of the Vietnam Women Intellectuals Association.

As the first term to implement the Development Strategy of the Vietnam Women's Union to 2030, with a vision to 2035, with the theme: Promoting tradition, solidarity, creativity, integration; building a strong Union organization, for the happiness of women, for the prosperity of the country, the Congress has the task of evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the 12th National Women's Congress; reviewing the implementation of the tasks of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union for the 2017-2022 term; setting out the directions and tasks for the 2022-2027 term; approving the Charter of the Vietnam Women's Union (amended and supplemented); electing the Central Executive Committee of the 13th term. At the same time, organizing five discussion centers for delegates to exchange and discuss solutions to effectively implement the Union's work in the coming time.
Yesterday, the preparatory session of the 13th National Women's Congress, term 2022-2027 took place with the following contents: electing the Congress Presidium, the Congress Secretariat, and the Delegate Qualifications Verification Committee; presenting the Summary Report, receiving and explaining comments on the draft Political Report and the draft Association Charter (amended and supplemented); awarding Certificates of Merit to 13 units with works and tasks that overcome difficulties and innovate to welcome the Congress...
