Opening of the National Youth and Children Football Tournament in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 7, in Vinh City, the opening ceremony of the National Youth Football Tournament, Nhi Dong Newspaper Cup - VÊBA took place.

Attending the opening ceremony were comrades Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture - Sports; Nguyen Phan Khue - Editor-in-Chief of Children's Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong presented flowers to congratulate the football teams participating in the tournament.

With the aim of creating a healthy and useful playground for teenagers in the summer, to discover young talents for Vietnamese football, for 22 consecutive years, Nhi Dong Newspaper has organized the National Youth Football Tournament. This is a tournament within the official competition system of the Vietnam Football Federation.

SLNA U13 players representing 240 players promised to compete honestly and contribute in the spirit of noble sportsmanship.

This year’s tournament will feature 12 teams, each with 20 players. The tournament will take place over 9 days (from July 7 to 16) at Vinh Stadium.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded the Medal for Youth Football Career to Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, General Director of SLNA Joint Stock Company and Mr. Ho Van Chiem, Executive Director of SLNA Club.

In a quick attack by the U13 SLNA players, unfortunately in a face-to-face position, the player wearing the 22 shirt could not defeat the away team's goalkeeper.
