(Baonghean.vn) - The exhibition of maps and documents showing that Hoang Sa and Truong Sa belong to Vietnam aims to affirm Vietnam's sovereignty over the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos from very early times.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Information and Communications emphasized: The exhibition aims to affirm Vietnam's sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos through published historical documents.

On the afternoon of April 14, the Department of Information and Communications held a working session with relevant units to discuss the plan to organize the program: Exhibition of maps and documents "Hoang Sa and Truong Sa belong to Vietnam - historical and legal evidence" in Nghe An province in 2017. Representatives of relevant departments, agencies and Thanh Chuong District attended.

At the same time, through the exhibition of maps, artifacts, documents, images, publications, etc., it aims to attract a large number of people to visit; contributing to raising people's awareness of Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

In particular, the exhibition contributes to arousing patriotism, solidarity and awareness and responsibility of each citizen towards the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland among all classes of people, especially the young generation.

This is the fourth time Nghe An has organized an exhibition of maps and documents “Hoang Sa, Truong Sa belong to Vietnam - historical and legal evidence” in Nghe An province. The exhibition is expected to be held for 2 days, April 25-26, 2017 at the Thanh Chuong District Cultural Center.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and giving opinions on the content of the program organization plan, assigning specific responsibilities to each related unit as well as information and propaganda work before, during and after the exhibition, security and order work during the organization process; ensuring the exhibition program takes place effectively and safely.
