Survey on completion of NTM in Vinh City
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 16, the Central Steering Committee for the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, led by Mr. Tran Van Mon - Deputy Chief of the Central Office of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, organized an inspection and survey of Vinh City to complete the task of building new rural areas.
Also attending were leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, departments of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment, Construction, Industry and Trade, Transport, and Provincial Police.

The delegation visited several communes: Hung Dong, Nghi Kim, Nghi Lien, Nghi An and Nghi Phu. In Hung Dong commune, implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the locality has reached the New Rural Finishing Line since 2014. Up to now, the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved, the average income per capita reached 36 million VND/person/year, the poverty rate is 1.1%, the rich household rate accounts for 70%, 14/14 hamlets have spacious cultural houses... welfare works: Medical stations, schools, roads... have been solidified and spacious.

Nghi Lien Commune, after 6 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the locality has mobilized over 342 billion VND to invest in building 19/19 new rural criteria, of which the central budget is over 5.7 billion VND, the provincial budget is 4.5 billion VND, the city budget is over 46 billion VND, the commune budget is over 33 billion VND, enterprise capital is 2.8 billion VND, and people's contributions are over 249 billion VND.

Through inspection and survey, the delegation highly appreciated the investment of localities in welfare works serving the people, creating favorable conditions for people to travel, get medical treatment... and for children to go to school. In particular, many places have found new ways of doing business, increasing income, meeting market demand.
