Rewarding 2 students with high achievements at the Regional and International Informatics Olympiad

On the afternoon of July 12, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to welcome two students ofPhan Boi Chau High School for the Giftedwon medals at regional and international Olympic competitions.

Also attending were comrades: Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training.

Previously, at the International Olympiad in Informatics hosted by Singapore in 2021, which took place from June 19 to 25, two students, Truong Van Quoc Bao and Nguyen Hoang Vu, class 11A2 students, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, won Silver Medals.

In addition, at the end of May, at the Asian Informatics Olympiad organized by Indonesia, Truong Van Quoc Bao was one of two students of the Vietnamese team to win a Gold Medal at this competition.

3 Gold and Silver Medals at the Asian and International Olympiad in Informatics are the outstanding achievements of the Informatics team of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted. This result not only contributes to improving the achievements of the Vietnamese team but also adds to the school's golden record of achievements and affirms the position of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted in international competitions.

At the ceremony, student Truong Van Quoc Bao and teacher Cao Thi Lan Thanh - Vice Principal of the school, team leader reported on the learning and training process of the IT team. Although they are only in grade 11 and have only had 21 months of studying and getting acquainted with IT, with their willpower, determination and intelligence, they have brought high achievements to the school and to the Vietnam IT team.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Director of the Department of Education and Training affirmed that the achievements of the IT team are a glorious honor for the education sector in the context of both organizing teaching and learning and preventing and fighting the epidemic. Their achievements will further foster the ambition and determination of all teachers, students and parents in the province.
