Arousing the spirit of volunteerism for the community of young people

"Where there is a need, there is youth; where there is difficulty, there is youth."

The movement "I love my Fatherland" has been widely deployed and deeply penetrated into the lives of young people through three major campaigns: "Mobilizing young people to compete in training", "Mobilizing young people to compete in dedication", "Mobilizing young people to live responsibly", creating motivation for members and young people to actively compete, practice good qualities and virtues, and live a useful life for themselves, their families and society.

Through the programs "Winter Volunteer", "Spring Volunteer", "March Border Month", the Youth Union at all levels has organized more than 2,000 volunteer activities, attracting tens of thousands of youth members to participate. 21/21 Youth Unions of districts and cities have effectively deployed and organized the program's activities, the total value of appeals and support to implement the activities is more than 3.3 billion VND. Along with that, more than 20,700 youth members registered to donate blood, resulting in more than 17,850 units of blood to help thousands of critically ill patients.

The movement of starting a business and building typical examples of young people doing business has been taking place vigorously throughout the province. In 2019, the National Employment Fund of the Central Youth Union with a capital of more than 4.2 billion VND was disbursed for 70 projects. The Youth Entrepreneurship Support Fund of Nghe An province disbursed 1.8 billion VND for 36 projects.

Along with that, member organizations such as the Young Entrepreneurs Association, the Young Physicians Association, and the Provincial Student Association have increasingly promoted the effectiveness of their operations, affirming their important position and role in the overall development of the Association's work and the youth movement of Nghe An province.

Continue to promote youth to build the province

Affirming that promoting the spirit of vanguard and volunteerism of young people in building and developing the Association is a core factor in realizing the set goals, comrade Chu Duc Thai emphasized that in the coming time, the Association needs to continue to arouse the spirit of solidarity, making young people a pioneering force in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. At the same time, creating a healthy environment for young people to study, practice and cultivate their mettle in the new era.

With 4 key tasks and 12 basic targets set for 2020, the Youth Union at all levels needs to continue to diversify implementation solutions to improve the effectiveness of youth movements, arouse the spirit of self-awareness of young people in participating in activities and programs. At the same time, expand many types of branches, clubs, and teams that are suitable for the thoughts, aspirations, interests and careers of young people. More importantly, it is necessary to promote many positive solutions to care for and protect the legitimate and legal interests of members and young people; encourage and motivate young people to nurture their dreams and ambitions to form an elite youth class in all fields, contributing to building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province emphasized that the Youth Union at all levels in the province needs to promote more practical work for community life, join hands in building new rural areas, building cultural life in residential areas and creating green-clean-beautiful landscapes... to contribute their strength and intelligence to the country, making practical contributions to building a strong Party, Youth Union and political system.

Each person should strive to rise up, practice political courage, determination in action; effectively participate in the movement "Accompanying young people to establish themselves and their careers", "Pioneering in socio-economic development, protecting the Fatherland"... actively participate in youth projects and tasks to approach reality, practice professional skills and expertise to always be worthy of being the shock force, the reserve force of the Party in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.

In recognition of the achievements in the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement, the Secretariat of the Provincial Youth Union presented Flags to 6 outstanding units including Dien Chau, Do Luong, Hung Nguyen, Nghia Dan, Quy Chau districts and Vinh city. 4 outstanding units were also awarded at the conference including Con Cuong, Nam Dan, Nghi Loc, Quy Hop districts.

In addition, 32 collectives and 15 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Association and youth movement in 2019 were awarded by the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province.
