The Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District Police has issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain two subjects Lu Thi Tuyen (born in 1984) and Moong Thi Xuyen (born in 1990), both residing in Cham Puong village, Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district, for the crime of human trafficking.

Previously, around the beginning of July 2024, Ky Son District Police received a complaint from Ms. CMS (born in 1986), residing in Luu Tan village, Bao Nam commune, Ky Son district, about the fact that Ms. S. was taken abroad by two subjects Moong Thi Xuyen and Lu Thi Tuyen to be sold into marriage.

Specifically, around May 2015, due to difficult family circumstances, and hearing many people say that marrying a foreigner would lead to a happier life, CMS confided in Lu Thi Tuyen. Hearing S. say that, Tuyen did not stop her but instead had the idea of selling S. to a foreign man to marry to get money to spend.

Taking advantage of S.'s ignorance, Tuyên enticed her and painted a bright future for her to agree to go abroad to get married. After that, Tuyên took a car to take S. to Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh province, then illegally crossed the border to a foreign country. There, both were picked up by Moong Thi Xuyen and her husband (who were abroad at the time) and taken home.

Here, Xuyen and his wife sold S. to the man for 105 million VND. After that, Xuyen paid Tuyen 60 million VND. Xuyen spent the remaining money for personal use.

In early 2024, taking advantage of a loophole from her husband's family, Ms. CMS escaped back to Vietnam and reported to the Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District Police to denounce the human trafficking of Lu Thi Tuyen and Moong Thi Xuyen.

Immediately after receiving the information, Ky Son District Police took action to verify, fight and clarify. To concentrate forces and means, Ky Son District Police established a special project. After collecting all documents and evidence, on July 19, 2024, Ky Son District Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department, Provincial Police to successfully crack the project, arresting Lu Thi Tuyen and Moong Thi Xuyen for human trafficking.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District Police is completing the dossier to handle the subjects according to the provisions of law./.
