Before that, at around 2:20 p.m. on October 10, after getting drunk, Tuan and Nguyen Van Can (24 years old) went to a coffee shop.

At that time, in the shop was Mr. Tran Thanh Binh, 36 years old, the hamlet chief. Here, Tuan had an argument with Mr. Binh and used a plastic chair to hit Mr. Binh. After being stopped by everyone, Tuan went home. Mr. Binh called the police of Binh Thanh Dong commune to report that Tuan had beaten him for no reason.

Then, Mr. Mai Hong Trinh - deputy chief of the commune police - and 3 police officers came to Tuan's house to invite him to work.

Tuan knew that the police would come to invite him, so he had a knife ready. When Mr. Trinh and 3 policemen arrived at the house, Tuan knocked him off his bike and stabbed Mr. Trinh in the arm. After that, Tuan went into the house and hid behind the ditch.

The police arrested Tuan and took him to the police station for questioning.
