Prosecution of young man who fled after traffic accident

On May 21, the Investigation Police Department of Hue City Police (Thua Thien - Hue) announced that this unit initiated a case and temporarily detained Truong Van Huy Hoang (25 years old, residing in Hue City) for violating regulations on driving road vehicles.

The incident happened on the afternoon of May 11. Hoang was driving a motorbike with a friend on Vo Van Kiet Street in the direction of Thuy Duong - Lim Bridge (Hue City). When approaching the An Tay Planning Area (An Tay Ward), he collided with Mr. Ha who was walking across the street.

After the accident, Hoang drove his injured friend away from the scene on a motorbike, leaving the victim lying in the middle of the road. To avoid being detected by the police, Hoang drove his friend with a broken bone to Da Nang to treat his injuries.

Mr. Ha was discovered by local people and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. According to the doctor's diagnosis, Mr. Ha suffered a traumatic brain injury, with a disability rate of 63%. On May 18, the police arrested the suspect who caused Mr. Ha's accident.
