Prosecution of the woman who masterminded the human trafficking case in Ky Son
(Baonghean.vn) - Ky Son District Police (Nghe An) has just issued a decision to prosecute Cut Thi Tu (born 1993), residing in Binh Son 2 village, Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district, for the act of "Human trafficking".
Previously, in 2022, through the work of grasping the local situation, Ky Son District Police discovered a suspicious line of behavior.human traffickinghappened before in Bao Nam commune, Ky Son district with sophisticated methods and tricks. Faced with the above situation, Ky Son district police established a special project to fight and clarify.
During the investigation, the Investigation Committee determined that in 2015, Lo Van Duc (born in 1990), residing in Huu Lap commune, Ky Son district, did business in China and became acquainted with Cut Thi Tu (born in 1993), residing in Binh Son 2 village, Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district (at that time, Tu was living with her husband in China).
This woman asked Lo Van Duc about finding someone to take her to China to sell and receive a commission of 10-20 million VND. In 2016, Duc returned home to Huu Lap commune, Ky Son district and got to know Ms. Luong Thi U. (born in 1995), residing in Bao Nam commune, Ky Son district. Knowing that Ms. U. was looking for a job, Lo Van Duc invited her to work at a company with a high salary and easy work, so Ms. U. and her husband agreed.

About a week later, Duc made an appointment with Ms. U. to go to the Xop Nhi bridge intersection (in Huu Lap commune) and then took a bus with Ms. U. to Mong Cai, Quang Ninh province, and then crossed the border into China. Duc and Tu agreed to sell Ms. U. to a Chinese man for 165 million VND. After that, Tu gave Duc 150 million VND, and Tu received 15 million VND.
After collecting all the documents and evidence, on February 9, 2023, Ky Son District Police, in coordination with Huu Lap Commune Police and Bao Nam Commune Police, successfully arrested Lo Van Duc for the crime of "Human trafficking". On February 16, 2023, Ky Son District Police initiated a case and prosecuted Lo Van Duc (born in 1990), residing in Huu Lap Commune, Ky Son District, to investigate the crime of "Human trafficking".
As for Cut Thi Tu, this woman was also previously arrested for "Human trafficking" in another case. On April 29, 2021, Cut Thi Tu was sentenced by the Provincial People's Court to 8 years in prison for "Human trafficking".
Ky Son District Police have worked with Cut Thi Tu. Faced with documents and evidence from investigators, Cut Thi Tu has confessed to all of her crimes.
Currently, Ky Son District Police are completing the dossier to handle the case according to the provisions of law./.
