A man suspected of holding a grenade and barricading himself in wrote a challenging status on Facebook.
(Baonghean.vn) - Despite the heavy rain, many curious people still gathered along Hong Bang Street to watch the authorities arrest the suspect. The Facebook account believed to belong to this suspect still posted a status with a defiant attitude.
After being arrested, the suspect was escorted to the police station to assist with the investigation. The task force began searching the house where the suspect was holed up.

Previously, at around 8:30 a.m. on October 1, Vinh City Police executed an emergency arrest warrant approved by the People's Procuracy of the same level against Le Ngoc Son (born in 1985, residing in Nghi Phong commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An) to investigate his involvement in a case of intentionally damaging property by smashing another person's car.
However, Le Ngoc Son did not comply, resisted the authorities and then barricaded himself in house number 128, Hong Bang street, Le Mao ward (Vinh city) with firearms. Nghe An provincial police and Vinh city police mobilized hundreds of police officers equipped with weapons and police dogs to block off Hong Bang street, Vinh city to arrest Son.
After several hours of surrounding the house, the police were able to reach the first floor, but Son remained on the second floor with a firearm and threatened to detonate a grenade if arrested. The police brought Son's family to persuade him to surrender, but to no avail.

Le Ngoc Son has a long criminal record, including drug-related crimes, and has recently been released from prison. At the time of his protest, Son showed signs of being high on drugs. While surrounded by police, Son made challenging comments on social media.
