According to the Prime Minister's directive, authorities must coordinate to closely monitor prices and supply and demand of goods in the market, especially essential goods.
The Prime Minister requested to organize a good distribution and regulation system between regions nationwide, ensuring smooth flow of goods from production to consumption; actively organize mobile shipments to serve people in rural, remote, mountainous and island areas during Tet.
The Directive clearly states that the Ministry of Industry and Trade directs the Market Management force to strengthen market inspection and control; closely coordinate with functional forces to step up the fight against the trade and transportation of banned and smuggled goods; check violations in the production and trading of counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin, and goods that do not ensure food hygiene and safety; strictly handle acts of speculation, hoarding, fraudulent methods of measurement and packaging to increase prices for illegal profits; control false information that causes market instability.
The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Finance to direct and strictly control the prices of goods and services, especially essential goods and services, and items subject to price stabilization according to regulations; coordinate with ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and People's Committees of centrally-run provinces and cities to promptly handle local price increases and adjust prices of many items at the same time, especially before and after Tet.
