Strengthening the personnel of 9 central and local agencies

Over the past week, a number of central and local agencies have carried out key personnel restructuring.

On the afternoon of April 22, in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics held a ceremony to announce the Politburo's decisions on personnel work.

Accordingly, the Politburo decided: Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan, former member of the Party Central Committee, ceased to hold the position of Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council for the 2016-2021 term.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, resigned from the position of President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences to become Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

* On the morning of April 22, the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union held the 8th Conference (term VI) to complete the position of Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.

After comrade Nguyen Quoc Cuong presented his application to withdraw from the position of Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, the conference voted to agree to let him withdraw from the position of Chairman.

Next, the conference elected comrade Lai Xuan Mon - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union to hold the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union with 100% of the votes.

* On the afternoon of April 21, Comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee, presented the Politburo's decision on personnel work, assigning Comrade Truong Quang Nghia, Party Central Committee member, Minister of Transport to be Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport.

* On the morning of April 21, in Hanoi, the Central Executive Committee Conference of the 10th term conducted a secret ballot to elect comrade Le Quoc Phong as First Secretary of the Central Youth Union. With 134/134 votes in favor, according to the Charter of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, comrade Le Quoc Phong was elected First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the 10th term.

* On April 22, the People's Council of Lang Son province held its 13th session, term XV, 2011-2016. At the session, comrade Pham Ngoc Thuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province was elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province with the majority of votes in favor.

* On the morning of April 21, within the framework of the 21st session, the delegates of the 8th term Ho Chi Minh City People's Council completed the personnel work, electing two additional Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee. Accordingly, comrade Tran Vinh Tuyen and comrade Huynh Cach Mang were both elected by 83/87 delegates present as Vice Chairmen of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

*On the morning of April 21, at the 16th session of the 2011-2016 term, the People's Council of Ha Tinh province dismissed and elected additional positions in the People's Council and People's Committee of the province.

At the meeting, delegates elected comrade Le Dinh Son, Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, as Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Council; elected comrade Dang Quoc Khanh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee, as Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee for the 2011-2016 term.

Delegates of the People's Council of Ha Tinh province also elected comrades: Dang Quoc Vinh (Head of the Propaganda Department of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee), Dang Ngoc Son (Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ha Tinh) and Duong Tat Thang (General Director of Ha Tinh Minerals and Trading Corporation) as Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province for the 2011-2016 term.

*On April 21, the People's Council of Ha Giang province held the 17th (extraordinary) session to complete the key personnel of the province.

Accordingly, the People's Council of Ha Giang province has dismissed comrade Nguyen Khanh Lam from the position of Standing Member of the Provincial People's Council, term XVI, 2011 - 2016 due to job transfer.

At the same time, the Provincial People's Council elected comrade Hoang Van Vinh, former Secretary of Yen Minh District Party Committee, to hold the position of Standing Member of the Provincial People's Council, term XVI, 2011 - 2016.

In addition, the Provincial People's Council elected comrade Ha Thi Minh Hanh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Transport, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2011-2016 term.
