Decide in 5 seconds
According to Hoang Giang, applying for scholarships to top universities is a long and complicated process that always requires maintaining a stable spirit and performance.
To solve many problems at the same time, you should make a specific and scientific plan for yourself. Giang makes a clear schedule for the work and tries to keep up with the progress.
When you are hesitant about every problem that comes up and feel overwhelmed with the amount of work to do, apply the 5-second rule: “5…4…3…2…1…Go!”.
It may sound silly, but counting like this will keep any other distracting thoughts from entering your head, and when you say “Go!” it will be time to make a decision.

Learn from the best sources and prepare early
Firstly, learning a language effectively is learning it correctly from the beginning, being exposed to a foreign environment to correct pronunciation and applying listening, speaking, reading and writing the foreign language fluently in daily life. If you learn and pronounce it wrongly, it will be very difficult to correct it later.
So, whatever you learn, learn from the best source possible. Reading is one of the methods that gives us access to the best.
Because there are people who are good at the field you want to learn, most likely they don’t know you but they have written books. The book is the essence of their whole life condensed in it.
Second, if we plan to study abroad, we should prepare early, gradually complete the goals quickly to "hunt" for valuable scholarships.
Having achieved impressive results studying abroad, this guy shared: "People may think it's because I'm good, but it's not, it's because of preparation.
I still remember the scholarship exam for two schools in the UK and in the end I got a full scholarship to both schools. They gave 7 essay topics, candidates could choose 1 out of 7 topics but that day I could do any topic because I had written all 7 topics completely and edited. That is the importance of preparation,” Giang shared.
How to overcome difficulties
Nguyen Hoang Giang gave an example of a day with a series of bad events, the solution is to stay calm and everything will be fine. The Vietnamese guy applied science to prove it.
There are two types of mindsets: fixed mindset and growth mindset. People with a fixed mindset are primarily concerned with proving that they are good people. People with a growth mindset are focused on actually being good and then getting better.
People with a fixed mindset believe that intelligence is immutable, that people are good because they are born good, so if they can't do it, it's because they don't have the ability, and that no matter how hard they try, they will fail.
People with a growth mindset care about who they are and who they have become. They don’t feel pressured to be perfect every step of the way.
Although they try to avoid making mistakes, they know that mistakes are inevitable in every aspect of life. It is okay to fail, but it is not acceptable not to learn from it.
They also acknowledge that some people are born with a quicker mind than others, but they also believe that success is not exclusive. Just because someone puts in more effort does not mean they do not have the right to succeed.
There is no right or wrong mindset. However, a fixed mindset will hold you back from your potential, while a growth mindset will help you achieve what you want.
So, with any difficulty, always think positively and you will find a way to overcome it.
To understand yourself, you have to go through a process of training. That process will meet a mentor, a close friend and a good book. Having many “supporters” will help you overcome difficulties faster.
For this former international student, family is the source of encouragement. The important thing is to nurture your passion, follow your heart and believe in yourself. Even if there are obstacles in your way, people say you can't do it, you should tell yourself that you can definitely do it.

Physical training and comprehensive development
In the pyramid of success, physical fitness is a key factor. You can only work effectively when your body is functioning well. Physical fitness and mental fitness go hand in hand.
Not only do you have a reasonable diet and exercise to improve your health, but your spirit will also be more positive, happy and energetic. Once you have overcome the physical pain in the gym, you will no longer feel afraid of anything.
In addition to studying, Giang also invests in developing other talents such as playing musical instruments, singing, etc. When participating in any activity, she not only finds out what she is capable of and what she is suitable for, but also learns soft skills.
“On the journey to conquer anything, each person should feel grateful: grateful to themselves, grateful to their family, grateful to life. There is a probability that unsafe things happen every day and that could be the last day we live.
Even when you encounter difficult problems and feel like giving up, remember Brandon Carter's words to continue:If you love life, don't waste time(roughly translated: If you love life, don't waste time)", Nguyen Hoang Giang emphasized.
