Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has revealed where President Vladimir Putin will hold his birthday party this year.

According to Mr. Peskov, Russian President Vladimir Putin, who turns 67 on October 7, will celebrate his birthday with family and relatives in a rural area. Before that, Mr. Putin went to the pristine forests in Russia's Siberian region.

“The president went to the Siberian taiga forests. He enjoyed the natural landscapes and the autumn forests,” Peskov said, adding that photos of the Siberian trip would be released to the public at midnight on Putin’s birthday.

Mr Peskov added that the Russian president will spend his birthday this year with friends and relatives outdoors.

This is in contrast to previous birthday celebrations, when Mr. Putin often held parties with current and former foreign leaders.

Last year, former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was among those invited to Putin’s birthday party. The former Italian Prime Minister even posted a photo on his Facebook page saying he was flying “with his friend Vladimir Putin.”

In 2017, Mr. Putin celebrated his birthday with Chinese President Xi Jinping, “drinking vodka and eating sausages.” The two leaders are also known to have a good relationship, and in early 2019, the Russian President even gave President Xi Jinping an ice cream gift, which Xi really liked./.
