The provincial People's Council meeting at the end of the year will discuss the number and allowance levels of non-professional commune-level officials.

On the afternoon of December 5, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a press conference to announce the agenda of the 12th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council. Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council: Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; Hoang Viet Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee chaired the press conference.

The 12th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council was held from December 10 to 12, 2019. The session will review 31 reports prepared by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; discuss and pass 22 draft resolutions.

In addition to the annual reports presented at the Provincial People's Council meetings, at this meeting, the Provincial People's Council will consider a number of new thematic reports such as: Report of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of children's rights, resolving children's issues in the province; Report of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of the Provincial People's Council's resolutions from the beginning of the 2016-2021 term to present...

In addition to the draft Resolutions related to socio-economic development, the session will resolve many draft Resolutions that have a great impact on people's lives such as: Resolution on approving the principles of valuation and price list of land types from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2024 in Nghe An province; Resolution on the number, titles, allowance levels, policies and regimes for non-professional workers and other subjects in communes, wards, towns, blocks, hamlets and villages in Nghe An province; Resolution on a number of measures to improve the effectiveness of preventing and combating human trafficking in Nghe An province...

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council will question two contents: The situation of storing, transporting, trading and illegally using drugs, the current situation, causes, solutions and responsibilities; The situation of trading and transporting prohibited goods, smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, goods that do not ensure food hygiene and safety is still complicated in the province, the current situation, causes, solutions and responsibilities.

At the press conference, representatives of the press agencies basically agreed with the meeting agenda. In addition, the delegates raised a number of opinions, namely: In the process of naming hamlets, blocks, and villages after the merger, it is necessary to base on the historical and cultural traditions of the local region to name them.
