From meaningful youth projects, social security activities or creative models in digital transformation, Nghe An youth have been promoting the spirit of volunteerism to make practical contributions to the development of their home province.

While pouring drinks for guests and pointing to the smartphone her husband was holding, Mrs. Ly smiled and said: "Before, my husband and I were very confused when using smartphones, especially when our children were working far away. But thanks to the enthusiastic guidance of the young people in the "Digital Education for the People" team, we learned how to use them to read news, look up health information and even pay electricity and water bills right on the phone without having to go out. What's special is that we were also instructed on how to avoid online scams, not to click on strange links or provide personal information to strangers."

Continuing the story, Mr. Le Van Quang - Secretary of the Hung Son Commune Youth Union said that in response to the "Digital Literacy for the People" movement launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the Hung Son Commune Youth Union has established a volunteer youth team of 42 members. These young people, with solid technological knowledge, have been thoroughly trained to support people in improving their digital skills, proficiently using information technology devices and applications. With the motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door", they enthusiastically went to the place to guide, answer questions, helping people access technology easily and effectively.

It is known that the whole Anh Son district has established 19 "Digital Education for the People" teams with a total of 1,150 union members and youths participating. These teams have carried out many practical activities, especially in areas with ethnic minorities to guide people in using electronic identification applications and QR codes in business, helping them access technology conveniently and effectively. In addition, union members and youths also support the installation and use of the Vietnam Youth application, provide information and raise awareness about preventing fraud in cyberspace.

In Thanh Chuong district, the activities of the "Digital Education for the People" teams are equally exciting when the whole district has established 29 teams with nearly 500 members, including key Youth Union and Association officials, and young people with in-depth knowledge of digital transformation in participating communes and towns.

Sharing about the changes after being instructed, Ms. Lo Thi Nga, a resident of Ma village, Ngoc Lam commune (Thanh Chuong), expressed: "I use a smartphone, but before, I mainly used it to access Facebook, Zalo, text, and entertain. I did not know about other utilities that can support daily life. For many days now, the union members in the commune have come to guide the villagers on how to use online public services, pay via banking applications... I find it very useful, especially for people in remote areas like us. Not only helping people access technology, the "Digital Education for the People" teams also contribute to narrowing the digital gap, supporting people to apply technology to production and business, thereby improving the quality of life".

Across the province, after 3 weeks of launching, Youth Union bases in 100% of communes, wards and towns have established "Digital Popular Education" teams.

With the motto of “going to every alley, knocking on every door” to eliminate digital illiteracy. Thereby joining hands to build a community that adapts to digital transformation, prevents fraud in cyberspace, and promotes the national digital transformation process effectively and synchronously.

Many meaningful social security activities

50 million VND is not a large amount for many people, but it has a very special meaning for poor families. With that amount of money, they can renovate a house to settle down. Understanding that, in recent days, young people in Dang Son commune, Do Luong district have raised and mobilized 50 million VND to support Ms. Dang Thi Lai (Hamlet 4, Dang Son commune) to build a warm house. Not only providing material support, dozens of youth union members also joined hands to dismantle the old house, contributing manpower to important stages to soon complete the new house for her.

Sharing about this meaningful activity, Deputy Secretary of Do Luong District Youth Union Nguyen Tat Hung said that during Youth Month 2025, the district's youth called for and acted as a bridge to support 4 families in especially difficult circumstances with a total amount of 200 million VND. From 2022 to now, the number of gratitude houses built has reached 10, with a total cost of 850 million VND.

In general, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province have mobilized resources to support the construction of 8 houses for poor households, with a total value of nearly 350 million VND. At the same time, they have contributed nearly 16,000 working days to build new houses and repair houses for families in difficult circumstances, gradually contributing to eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the localities.

Sharing about the meaningful journey in the 3 peak weeks of Youth Month, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy said that from the beginning of March, the Provincial Youth Union chose the border area to organize a series of activities to kick off Youth Month. At the program, representatives of the Youth Union bases presented signs to support the construction of 6 houses for people, supported 2 youth models for economic development. Nearly 3,800 cartons of milk were presented, 130 gifts were presented to students in difficult circumstances, 1 playground for children, 1 television, 1 computer set and 100 maps of Vietnam... with a total value of 1.1 billion VND.

After the launching ceremony, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province continued to carry out many practical activities related to the construction of the homeland. Specifically, in the first 3 weeks of Youth Month, the youth of the province carried out more than 700 youth projects, organized 220 career counseling and enrollment sessions; digitized 150 historical relics, planted more than 180,000 new trees, and organized voluntary blood donations, collecting 8,000 units of blood.

The grassroots Youth Union organizations also undertake and organize the implementation of many effective models in building civilized urban areas, such as: building and repairing, renovating 120 km of rural roads, the "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful - Civilized - Safe" youth route, clearing sewers, dredging canals; organizing tree planting, building environmental protection models, and fighting plastic waste.

In order to have closer coordination between the Youth Union and Party committees at all levels, leaders and local authorities, the activities of the Youth Union always receive timely guidance and leadership from the Party. At the units, the Youth Union activities are always monitored and directed by Party committees at all levels. Implementing the campaign "Youth Union members and young people strive to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam", after 3 weeks of launching, the whole province has admitted more than 5,700 new members, nearly 100 outstanding members have been admitted to the Party.

It can be seen that the Youth Union at all levels has implemented activities in a positive, creative, scientific manner, creating a vibrant, widespread, practical, effective, highly actionable atmosphere, oriented towards the grassroots, directly contributing to solving practical needs of the locality, attracting a large number of union members and young people to participate in a substantial and synchronous manner./.
