Nghe An Youth Union successfully completed 30 days of peak competition to support the 500kV line 3 project

The 500kV 3-circuit line project through Nghe An province is 99.99 km long, passing through 06 districts and towns (Quynh Luu, Hoang Mai, Nam Dan, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Yen Thanh) with nearly 202 column foundations, at 47 column points and anchorage locations, there are 26 residential buildings and 46 architectural objects that need to be dismantled and cleared of the power grid corridor.

To participate in supporting the implementation of the 500kV line 3 project through Nghe An province, the Provincial Youth Union has developed a plan and implemented a peak emulation period taking place from June 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024. The whole province has established 74 combat teams, with more than 1,100 young people implementing many activities to support the construction of the 500kV line 3.

The 500kV line 3 circuit project in Quynh Luu district has 38 poles, the Youth Union bases are in charge of 3 intersections that need support for traffic flow, and 15 anchorage positions that need support for clearing the line corridor.

Regarding the trees in the corridor that need to be cleared, on the morning of June 28, the youth of the whole province completely cut down the trees that the Electricity Company and the construction unit proposed in Hamlet 12, Quynh Chau Commune; completing the entire task of the corridor that needs to be cleared in the communes of Quynh Lam, Ngoc Son, Quynh Tan, and Quynh Thang.

At the same time, the youth of the whole province also supported the final tasks assigned during the construction of DO522 - 83D pole - the highest pole position passing through Quynh Luu district. Successfully completed the peak emulation period of 30 days and nights of volunteering to "overcome the sun and rain" to support the implementation of the 500kV line 3 circuit project through Nghe An province.

Speaking at the conclusion of the program, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy affirmed that the peak emulation period with many meaningful activities had been deployed, creating a vibrant and widespread emulation atmosphere, attracting a large number of union members, youth and people to respond.

The young volunteers participated in mobilizing affected households to hand over their land to move out of the power grid corridor; propagating to people about the purpose, meaning, and importance of the project... Along with the propaganda, the young volunteers did not mind the sun or rain, helping households in the resettlement area to demolish, transport assets, relocate barns, construction works...

Volunteers also participated in supporting traffic regulation on routes where power lines pass through; at the same time, they organized gift giving and encouraged the forces constructing the 500 kV power line in the area, and gave gifts to encourage families who had to relocate.

The Youth Union of Nghe An and the districts of Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Nam Dan, Quynh Luu and Hoang Mai town also have creative models such as organizing "Construction site meals" and "Construction site water bowls" to promptly encourage the project construction team, cooking hundreds of construction site meals together. At the same time, supporting accommodation for construction teams at column foundation points; organizing cultural and artistic exchanges to encourage the spirit of the workers...

During the 30 days of the peak emulation campaign, youth volunteer teams supported the dismantling of 24 houses; 44 barns and structures; participated in clearing, clearing, and felling more than 26 hectares, nearly 9,000 trees of all kinds affecting the corridor of the 500kV power line to hand over the construction site.

These are meaningful tasks to welcome the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province, term 2024 - 2029.

In the spirit of "sharing the fire and hardship", the youth of the whole province unanimously supported 6 units with power lines passing through, more than 1,000 water tanks, milk, 500 meals, and 500 kg of fresh lemons were given to the forces on duty.

The image of green shirts and volunteer teams has created a vibrant competitive atmosphere to promote youth strength on key national projects. From there, it brings a new spirit to the youth volunteer movement in the current period.
