Gang village has a long-standing molasses making profession in Nghia Hung commune, which has been recognized by the provincial People's Committee as a craft village. The molasses here is famous not only for its smooth, thick, fragrant, and beautiful yellow quality, but also for the people here who know how to maintain and develop the traditional profession to get rich.
Mr. Cao Xuan Khuong is one of those who have risen to become rich from his hometown's traditional profession. Currently, with more than 30 years of this profession, every November of the lunar calendar, his family is busy harvesting sugarcane to make molasses. On average, his family presses more than 8 tons of sugarcane every day, and 6 molasses pans are always operating at full capacity to serve customers during Tet.

Mr. Cao Xuan Khuong added: "If you want delicious molasses, all the steps must be done carefully, from choosing the sugarcane variety to plant, taking care of the sugarcane so that it is free of pests and diseases, and ripens at the right time, then pressing the sugarcane with a machine, filtering it three times to get clear, clean sugarcane juice.
The next step is to cook the honey. While cooking the honey, the worker must be on duty regularly to light the furnace fire. The fire must not be too big or the honey will overflow and burn, turning black and not delicious. If the fire is too small, it will take a lot of time. When the honey boils and settles, the foam and scum are skimmed off. Only when the honey is smooth, thick, fragrant, and has a golden brown color can the quality be guaranteed.

Currently, in Nghia Hung commune, there are about dozens of households cooking molasses and making candy to develop the family economy. Mr. Phan Phuc Vinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Hung commune, Nghia Dan said: "Since being recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a craft village, Lang Gang molasses has become more and more known, and during the season, traders often come to the village to order. It is from this source of income from pressing that has created jobs and stabilized the lives of households, making them rich in their homeland." Currently, many households in Nghia Hung commune, in addition to making molasses, also take advantage of the raw material of molasses to make other products such as rock sugar, brown sugar, and peanut candy.

Every day, in addition to producing peanut candy, every year in the 10th lunar month, families prepare to clean and repair the drums and ovens to prepare for a new production season. Molasses can be produced by themselves, and with more than 10 years of experience in making peanut candy, some families sell 300 - 400 candy packages to the market. These models have given people stable jobs and high economic efficiency. Mr. Nguyen Van Minh - Hamlet 13, Nghia Hung Commune shared: "Compared to farming, making peanut candy brings in much higher economic income. Customers come not only to buy molasses but also to buy candy as gifts, the family also imports for agents in and outside the district..."
