Reflecting to the district leaders, Mr. Ta Khac Hanh - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Dien Binh commune stated: The demand for vocational training of cadres and farmer members is very large, but the number of classes opened each year is small, the training quality is not high, so the employment rate is low.

Many students from colleges, universities and vocational schools graduate every year but cannot find jobs. Could the district please find a solution to this problem?

On June 27, Dien Chau District organized a dialogue conference between district leaders and officials and members of the District Farmers' Association. Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Huu Nhi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, along with district leaders and departments of Dien Chau District.

Responding to this content, Mr. Truong Van Suu - Head of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dien Chau district said: Every year, the number of vocational training classes opened depends on the funding source allocated according to Decision No. 1956 of the Prime Minister.

According to Mr. Suu, the quality of vocational training is not high due to the short training time, mainly short-term vocational training of 3 months, mainly transferring technology and techniques to workers, and the trainees are mainly of old age.

“Because the subjects choose the wrong career, currently, for the sewing profession, after graduation, 100% of students have jobs and stable income, while other professions such as cultivation techniques, animal husbandry techniques, cooking, seafood processing... mainly serve production and business in households. Therefore, the issue of choosing a major and a career to study is very important,” Mr. Suu affirmed.

Regarding the issue of university graduates not having jobs, Mr. Suu cited: By the end of 2016, the whole district had 1,972 workers who graduated from universities and colleges from 2012 to 2016 who had not found jobs and had unstable jobs.

The issue of job creation for students is a very difficult one. The district is implementing a preferential loan policy for university and college graduates who need to borrow capital to start a business, in order to create opportunities and encourage students to proactively create jobs for themselves and other workers through projects and production and business ideas, helping new graduates access and benefit from preferential loans to create jobs.

In addition, the district strengthens propaganda work, raising awareness of learners and society about how to choose a career and training level suitable to their abilities and the needs of the labor market.

Promote the work of streaming and orienting vocational education for students right from junior high school and high school to contribute to forming a workforce according to scale, occupational structure, and training level to meet the needs of the labor market's human resource structure.

One of the issues that many farmers are interested in is the output for agricultural products. Mr. Phan Dinh Bay - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Dien Thanh commune reflected: The situation of farmers facing a deadlock in product consumption. For example, the tomato model in Dien Thanh has a very low price of 3000 VND/kg, making farmers extremely difficult.

Regarding this content, Mr. Le Van Phuong, Dien Hong commune said: Currently, agricultural production in some areas such as cultivation, animal husbandry, salt production is not very effective due to unstable input material prices, many natural disasters and epidemics... high costs, so many farming households abandon their fields and barns. "The State needs to have policies to support farmers in production in the current period and have a market orientation and long-term solutions to purchase products stably so that farmers can produce effectively" - Mr. Phuong suggested.
