Leaders of Ky Son district inspected, visited and gave gifts to frontline forces fighting Covid-19 epidemic

*Comrade Nguyen Huu Minh - Chairman of Ky Son District People's CommitteeAs the head of the delegation, along with the leaders of the Red Cross Society, the Labor Federation visited, encouraged and presented 170 gifts including food and necessities to the collective of officers and soldiers on duty at the front line of epidemic prevention and 152 households in the medical quarantine area (La Ngan village, Chieu Luu commune where 2 cases of Covid-19 infection were detected).

It is known that the above gifts were called for by the Red Cross and the District Labor Federation from units and benefactors.

The working delegation also visited and inspected checkpoints at villages currently implementing quarantine according to Directive 16 in Chieu Luu commune.

* On the same day, the working delegation led by Comrade Vi Hoe - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Councilas head of the delegation, along with comrade Ly Ba Thai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and representatives of the District Party Committee Office and the District Fatherland Front, inspected, visited, encouraged and gave gifts to frontline forces such as: Police, Military, District Medical Center and Covid-19 epidemic control checkpoints in Chieu Luu commune.

At the visited locations, district leaders acknowledged efforts for public health and shared the difficulties and hardships with frontline forces participating in disease prevention and control.

The Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Council requested the forces on duty at checkpoints to actively propagate and mobilize people to raise awareness of Covid-19 prevention and control; strengthen the control of people and vehicles entering and leaving the management area, ensure 24/7 duty, request people to strictly follow the "5K" recommendations and promptly handle suspected cases of Covid-19 infection; ensure protective equipment for the forces participating in checkpoints and frontline forces.

At the same time, it is also recommended that epidemic control checkpoints not be negligent and subjective, strictly implement regulations on epidemic prevention, in order to promptly detect and handle suspected cases of Covid-19 infection.

On this occasion, the District Party Secretary, on behalf of the leaders in the delegation, directly presented 105 million VND in cash and some necessities to encourage the frontline forces and checkpoints in Chieu Luu commune to directly perform the task of controlling and preventing the Covid-19 epidemic.

Representatives of the forces on duty at the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control checkpoint thanked the district leaders for their timely attention, sharing and encouragement; this will be a source of motivation for officers and soldiers on duty at the epidemic prevention and control checkpoint to successfully complete their assigned tasks./.
