Leaders of Nghe An province offer incense to commemorate comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai
On the morning of August 7 (July 4, Giap Thin year), at the Memorial House in Quang Trung ward (Vinh city), leaders of Nghe An province respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate and pay tribute to comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, on the occasion of her 83rd death anniversary (September 30, 1910 - August 26, 1941).

Born on September 30, 1910, in her hometown of Nghe An, a land with a long tradition of patriotism and revolution, at the age of 16, with the enthusiasm of youth, comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai (real name Nguyen Thi Vinh), overcame all obstacles of feudal etiquette, overcame the understanding and life of girls of the same time, determined to embark on the thorny revolutionary path.

In the summer of 1927, she was the first woman in Vinh - Ben Thuy to be admitted to the Hung Nam Association and elected to the Executive Committee of the Grand Ancestor, in charge of women's mobilization. From here, many women in Nghe An were enlightened by her, becoming red seeds to sow the seeds of revolution.
In early 1930, he was introduced by the Central Bureau of Central Vietnam to the North and then to China. He worked as Secretary for leader Nguyen Ai Quoc at the Eastern Branch Office of the Communist International.


In 1935, comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai was elected to the official delegation to attend the 7th Congress of the Communist International in Moscow, Soviet Union. After the congress, she was introduced to study at the Oriental University of the Communist International.
In 1937, upon returning to the country, he was assigned to work at the Southern Regional Party Committee and was appointed by the Party Central Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Saigon - Cho Lon City Party Committee.


On July 30, 1940, while preparing to launch an armed uprising with the Southern Regional Party Committee, she fell into the hands of the enemy. Knowing that she was an important key cadre, the French colonialists used all kinds of torture to force her to reveal the Party organization, but could not subdue the iron will of an indomitable and steadfast woman.
In the early morning of August 26, 1941, the French colonialists took comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai to be executed at Gieng Nuoc Hospital, now Hoc Mon District Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.


On the occasion of the 83rd anniversary of the death of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, in a sacred atmosphere, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy and the delegation offered flowers and incense to express their respect and infinite gratitude for the great contributions of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - an outstanding daughter of Nghe An homeland, Secretary of the Saigon - Cho Lon City Party Committee, an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh, a female martyr who sacrificed her whole life for the Fatherland.

The indomitable spirit on the way to the execution ground, the heroic sacrifice of the female martyr Nguyen Thi Minh Khai touched millions, millions of patriotic hearts; forever an immortal symbol of Vietnamese women.


The noble ideals, steadfast qualities, pure and simple morality of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai will live forever with her homeland Nghe An; with the people of Saigon - Gia Dinh (now Ho Chi Minh City), where she devoted herself, fought until her last breath and heroically sacrificed; live forever in the memories of our people, with our mountains and rivers, our country.
