(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 25, the leaders of Nghe An province received a working delegation of the Ministry of Justice of the Lao PDR led by comrade Phayvy Siboualypha - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Minister of Justice. On the Central side, there was comrade Le Thanh Long - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Party, Minister of Justice.

Receiving the delegation, on the side of Nghe An province were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Trong Hoang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office.

At the reception, Lao Minister of Justice Phayvy Siboualypha expressed his pleasure to visit and work in Vietnam in general, as well as in Nghe An in particular, in the year the two countries celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Laos - Vietnam and Vietnam - Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.

On this occasion, the Lao Minister of Justice informed the leaders of Nghe An province about the results of his work in Vietnam, the cooperative relationship between the Lao and Vietnamese Ministries of Justice in the past time, as well as key directions in the coming time.

The Lao Minister of Justice affirmed that he will continue to promote the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam, which President Ho Chi Minh, Prince Souphanouvong, President Kaysone Phomvihane and the revolutionary leaders of the two countries built the foundation and worked hard to nurture; especially to develop the cooperation in the field of justice not only at the ministerial level, but also between localities of the two countries, especially localities sharing a common border.

On this occasion, Minister Phayvy Siboualypha expressed his gratitude for the welcome of Nghe An provincial leaders, shared his good impressions when visiting and working in the province, especially when visiting the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Nam Dan).

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy expressed his pleasure to welcome comrades Phayvy Siboualypha and Le Thanh Long and other comrades in the working delegations of Laos and Vietnam, on the occasion of their attendance at the 40th Anniversary of Legal and Judicial Cooperation and the 5th Judicial Conference of provinces sharing the Vietnam - Laos border, hosted by the Ministries of Justice of the two countries in Nghe An.

On behalf of the Party Committee, Government and People of Nghe An province, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy respectfully sent warm greetings and best wishes to the two Ministers and the working delegation of the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam and Laos; at the same time, informed about some features of the natural conditions, socio-economic development situation of the province in recent times, as well as the cooperative relationship between Nghe An province and partners of Laos.

In particular, Nghe An is also the province with the longest border with Laos PDR in Vietnam, with more than 468 km, spanning 6 districts, 27 border communes, 116 border markers, and 44 markers.

The Provincial Party Secretary affirmed: The Party Committee, Government and People of Nghe An province always identify strengthening and promoting comprehensive cooperation with localities of the Lao PDR as one of the especially important and top priority political tasks.

The friendly and cooperative relations between Nghe An and Lao localities including 3 provinces sharing the border: Hua Phan, Xieng Khouang, Bo Ly Kham Xay; provinces with traditional cooperative relations: Vientiane, Khammouane, Savannakhet, Xay Som Bun have always been maintained and developed, increasingly diverse, deep and effective in many fields such as: trade, education - training, health, national defense - security, party building, grassroots government...

On August 18, Nghe An province successfully organized the 60th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations and the 45th Anniversary of the Signing of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty, with the full participation of senior leaders of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam, 7 provinces of Laos with traditional relations...

Regarding the judicial sector, the Provincial Party Secretary said: The cooperation between Nghe An province and Lao localities is focused on and regularly implemented, especially in reviewing and compiling the list of free migrants and unregistered marriages in the border areas of the two countries who are eligible for Vietnamese and Lao nationality.

Currently, there are 211 Lao people living in the border communes of Nghe An who have been naturalized as Vietnamese citizens. After being naturalized, people are supported in carrying out procedures for issuing documents such as identity cards, citizen identification cards, marriage certificates, birth certificates, health insurance, etc.; have a stable life, and live in harmony with the ethnic communities in Vietnam.

Currently, there are 4,772 Nghe An people who have been naturalized as Lao citizens, settled in the provinces of Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan and Bo Ly Kham Xay, and enjoy the rights of citizens of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

The head of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee affirmed: The cooperation process has actively contributed to building the cooperative relationship, solidarity and special friendship between the two Parties, two States, and the people of Vietnam and Laos. Nghe An province and Lao localities have cooperative relationships; promoting socio-economic development, maintaining national defense, security, and social order and safety of the provinces.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Party Committee, Government and People of Nghe An province, the Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee respectfully expressed his deep gratitude to the Lao Party, State and People in general, and the Lao Ministry of Justice in particular, for their good feelings, valuable support and assistance to Nghe An in the past time; at the same time, he hoped to continue to receive attention, assistance and cooperation in the coming time.
