Set up 7 inspection teams to handle serious corruption cases

The focus of the delegations' work is to inspect and supervise the investigation, prosecution, investigation and trial of corruption and economic cases, especially serious and complicated cases that receive public attention.

The Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption has just issued Plan No. 16 on inspection and supervision of case inspection, prosecution, investigation, prosecution, and trial of serious and complicated corruption and economic cases.

According to the plan, the inspection and supervision will focus on the following contents: Leadership and direction of Party committees and organizations in detecting and handling corruption; and enforcement of judgments on asset recovery in corruption and economic cases.

Coordination between agencies in detecting cases, investigating, prosecuting, and trying corruption and economic cases; advising and proposing handling of corruption and economic cases by the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee is also an inspection content.

The Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption will establish 7 inspection and supervision teams led by 7 members of the Committee to inspect the provincial Party Committees: Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Son La, Lang Son, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Tay Ninh, Tien Giang, Long An, Binh Phuoc, Hau Giang, Ben Tre.

The cases of corruption and economic crimes under consideration have a time frame from January 1, 2011 to June 30, 2016 and cases with signs of corruption occurring before January 1, 2011, but are still stuck and have not been completely resolved.

According to the plan, the provincial Party Committees will report the results of their self-inspection and supervision to the Central Internal Affairs Committee before August 15, 2016. The inspection and supervision teams will report the results to the Steering Committee (through the Central Internal Affairs Committee) from August 20 to October 20.

Through inspection, the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption evaluates the results of the work of detecting and handling corruption; focusing on inspecting and supervising the inspection of cases, initiating, investigating, prosecuting, and trying corruption and economic cases, especially serious and complicated cases that attract public attention.
