Pentagon says it would defeat Russia in case of conflict in outer space
The United States would defeat Russia and China in the event of a conflict in space, Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan said during a hearing before the US House Armed Services Committee.

Responding to questions from US lawmakers about whether the country is ready to defeat Russia and China in the event of a military conflict, Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan affirmed: "I am absolutely confident that today, we can win a conflict in outer space."
In late February, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing the Space Force to repel aggression and protect national interests in space.
