9-year-old boy drowned while retrieving a slipper that fell into the river for his sister
(Baonghean.vn) - While his sister was riding his bike along the riverbank, her sandals accidentally fell into the river. His younger brother swam down to get them but was swept away by the water.

Earlier, at 4 p.m. on January 17, Nguyen Ba Huy was riding his sister's bike along the riverbank about 700 meters from home. While cycling, his sister's sandal accidentally fell into the river. Huy immediately jumped off the bike and went into the river to get his sister's sandal. When swimming to shore, Huy was unable to hold on to the bank because the ground was slippery and was swept away by the current.
Huy's sister saw that and called adults to save him, but the strong water flow swept him away.
