Many National Assembly delegates emphasized that the evaluation of those who are given a vote of confidence will be based on the entire process. Fairness will not "score" unfairly.

On October 25, the National Assembly will conduct a vote of confidence on 48 people elected and approved by the National Assembly. The vote counting results will be announced the same afternoon.

“Don't be influenced”

Sharing with the press, delegate Truong Trong Nghia (HCMC delegation) said that when choosing a level of trust for a person, it is necessary to compare the completion of responsibilities for the assigned and responsible fields to see if the management and direction measures meet the requirements, what changes have been brought about, and which aspects have been improved.

There is a backlog of work that has been going on for decades, but has there been any change since that person took charge? Granted, he is the successor, but if he works for several years without any change, it is not up to standard.

In addition to responsibility for the industry and field, there must be criteria with political elements that need to be evaluated. That is, each policy, action, even his speech, comment, and assessment must come from the interests of the people and national sovereignty.

According to Mr. Nghia, some individual incidents need to be noted and evaluated fairly. Delegates with high responsibility must research to comprehensively evaluate the whole process, see different perspectives, and be responsible for their votes.

“When a National Assembly delegate votes for confidence, he should do so based on the interests of the country, the people and society, not for group interests. For example, if a policy affects the interests of a family or an individual, then you are prejudiced against that person and should cross his name out, that is not right,” said Mr. Truong Trong Nghia.

Mr. Vu Trong Kim emphasized that carefully filtering information will help delegates make accurate decisions. Delegates must put aside prejudices to gain a common point of view.

The evaluation of those who are voted for a vote of confidence must first be based on the tasks and powers assigned by the State to assess whether they have done well or not, and whether they have committed any violations. In addition, it is necessary to carry out the role of serving the people, "not shouting at the people".

Another point to note is lifestyle and being a role model in all aspects, including how to declare assets, whether income is legitimate or taking advantage of position and power.

“Each person has a different job position, so it cannot be equalized. The people who usually get the most votes are those who do not touch the position. There are people whose behavior and state management are not good, so I do not agree. We should not just look at the hot spots, but have a thorough analysis,” Mr. Vu Trong Kim emphasized, saying that he had his own assessment of the 48 positions.

Be fair so as not to "score" unfairly

One of the new points this time is that the person who is voted for a vote of confidence must have a full report on the results of performing assigned tasks and powers; political qualities, ethics, and lifestyle. In addition, the report needs to include self-assessment and review of whether or not there are signs of degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" within the Party according to Resolution 4 of the 12th Central Committee.

National Assembly Delegate Nguyen Ngoc Phuong

Delegate Nguyen Ngoc Phuong - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Binh Province said that most of the reports that the 48 deputies sent to the National Assembly were very specific about what they had done and what they had not done. However, he was also concerned that some people only mentioned their achievements but did not mention their limitations and solutions to overcome them.

“Among the 48 people who were voted on this time, I have determined who has the highest vote of confidence, but there are also people I have to think about, consider and may give a low vote of confidence,” Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phuong shared.

Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap province said that through the reports of those who were voted for confidence, he acknowledged the close supervision of leaders, ministers, and heads of sectors in performing their tasks. Some only evaluated what had been done, while limitations and shortcomings were rarely mentioned.

The delegate from Dong Thap highly appreciated some people who boldly admitted the limitations and weaknesses in the sectors and fields they manage and made promises and commitments to overcome them from now until the end of their term.

National Assembly Delegate Pham Van Hoa

“I will give high credit to those with good moral qualities and clean lifestyles. Next, I will consider their working spirit and attitude since the beginning of their term,” Mr. Pham Van Hoa emphasized.

Mr. Hoa believes that determining the credit rating must be carefully studied throughout the entire process, not just based on a few prominent incidents. He himself will evaluate fairly, honestly, and objectively so as not to "unfairly" score anyone.
