Leicester fans probably never dreamed of winning the Premier League title in 100 years. Even if they did dream about it, they would be sorry when they woke up. But on May 7, 2016, a fairy tale happened.
Opera singer Andrea Bocelli took the initiative to contact the fans to sing on the championship day. Leicester legends appeared at the festival. That was Gordon Banks, the former goalkeeper who won the World Cup in 1966 with England. That was Frank McLintock, the former captain and coach who won the double with Arsenal in 1971.
23 Leicester players, all of whom have played at least five games this season, went up on the podium to collect their winners' medals. Captain Wes Morgan and coach Claudio Ranieri held the trophy aloft. Morgan's face looked as if he couldn't believe it was real. The Italian coach was overcome with emotion as he held back tears at the first title of his career. The celebratory wine was opened. There were cheers, endless smiles from tens of thousands at the King Power, and tears.
It was all so real. A wild dream had come true for the people of this small town. Leicester had won the Premier League. They were 22 points ahead of champions Chelsea, 17 ahead of Manchester United, 10 ahead of second-placed Tottenham. What happened during this season will go down in history.
As Leicester's Vice Chairman said, this title is a breath of fresh air in the age of money-driven football, an inspiration for the whole world. Let's leave worries about the future for tomorrow. Today is the happiest day in Leicester's 132-year history.
There are many reasons for the success of the "Foxes". ButStability is what Ranieri and his students make the differencecompared to the teams from Manchester, Chelsea, Arsenal or Tottenham. They were stable from the beginning of the season to the end. From the opening day with a 4-2 victory over Sunderland. Overcoming a tight schedule during Christmas. Then winning the title before Tottenham's fierce pursuit. Until the Cup was in hand, Leicester still played brilliantly against Everton.
Coach Ranieri declared before the match: "I will kill them if they dare to play badly today". Perhaps the threat of the Italian coach made his students burn with all their might. The previous celebrations did not affect the players' physical strength and desire much. They even had the effect of stimulating excitement. Leicester launched 33 shots in this match, the most compared to the previous 36 matches.

The festive atmosphere was ignited in the first minutes. Jamie Vardy ran across the goal and fired a one-touch shot to open the scoring. Midway through the second half, Riyah Mahrez dribbled past two Everton players on the right wing, passing the ball to King who ran up to finish and double the gap.
Vardy completed his double from the penalty spot and almost scored a hat-trick but shot wide from another spot-kick. Vardy now has 24 goals, just one behind top scorer Harry Kane.
Everton were at a disadvantage throughout the match and only scored a consolation goal in the 88th minute. Kevin Mirallas dribbled past a number of defenders in blue shirts and shot past Kaspar Schmeichel.
But that couldn't spoil Leicester's historic party.
