Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony in Nghe An
On the morning of April 7th (corresponding to the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month of the Year of the Snake), the Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony was solemnly held at the Hong Son Temple National Historical and Cultural Site (Vinh Tan Ward), Vinh City.

Attending the ceremony was Ms. Tran Thi Kim Phuong, Head of the Provincial Relics Management Board.
Representing Vinh City were: Mr. Nguyen Van Lu – Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Mr. Le Thanh Long – Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Ms. Tran Thi Cam Tu – Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, along with a large number of local people and tourists from all over.

Hong Son Temple is an ancient temple built during the Nguyen Dynasty, housing the royal throne and ancestral tablets of the 18 Hung Kings in the central hall.
CeremonyHung Kings Commemoration DayThis event, organized annually by Vinh City, aims to commemorate, express gratitude to, and show profound appreciation for the Hung Kings and other ancestors in the nation's history who made immense contributions to the struggle, construction, and development of the country. It also honors the "Hung King Worship Belief" as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

Throughout the ups and downs of the nation's history over thousands of years, the belief in worshipping the Hung Kings has been persistently passed down and nurtured through generations, serving as a solid spiritual foundation, uniting the Vietnamese national spirit, and being the source of strength.nationWe will always stand united to overcome all difficulties and challenges.

In the solemn and respectful atmosphere of the Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony, before the spirits of the Hung Kings, officials, people of Vinh City and visitors from all over always remember President Ho Chi Minh's teaching: "The Hung Kings had the merit of founding the nation, we, their descendants, must together preserve it." At the same time, they pledge to promote the spirit of unity, strive to compete in labor and production to build an increasingly prosperous and beautiful homeland.

The ceremony included the following main activities: a welcoming cultural performance; offering of banh chung and banh day (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) and other offerings; reading of the congratulatory address, commemoration, and incense offering.

In addition, there will be a discussion program on the Ancestor Commemoration Day and volleyball and chess matches between wards and communes in Vinh City.
