Contract signing ceremony for construction of Song Lam Cement factory
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of March 22, in Vinh City, the contract signing ceremony for construction, installation and equipment supply for the Song Lam cement factory project took place.
Attending the ceremony were comrade Vuong Dinh Hue - Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Economic Commission, representatives of ministries, departments and branches of the Central Government,Leaders of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank, The Vissai Ninh Binh Cement Group, partners from the Federal Republic of Germany and Japan;Ninh Binh provincial leaders: Nguyen Thi Thanh - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Provincial Party Secretary, Dinh Van Dien - Deputy Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

The starting point is the Do Luong Cement Project with a capacity of 2,500 tons of clinker/day, equivalent to 910,000 tons of cement invested by Do Luong Cement Joint Stock Company in Bai Son Commune, Do Luong District. Up to now, Do Luong Cement Joint Stock Company has become a member of The Vissai Cement Group and has been renamed Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company according to the investment certificate No. 271,110,000.96 issued by the People's Committee of Nghe An Province on November 1, 2014.
Then, on February 10, 2015, the Prime Minister approved Document No. 215-TTg-KTN to include the Song Lam Cement Plant Project in the Vietnam cement development plan until 2020 and increase the capacity to 12,000 tons of clinker/day. Along with a grinding station with a capacity of 4 million tons/year combined with a deep-water seaport capable of receiving ships with a capacity of up to 50,000 tons in the Southeast Economic Zone in Nghi Thiet commune, Nghi Loc district. The project is expected to be completed after 18 months.
At the ceremony, The Vissai Cement Group - Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company signed construction - installation - equipment supply contracts for the Song Lam Cement Factory Project.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized: Song Lam Cement Project is one of the key industrial projects of the province, promoting the potential advantages of the province, creating a breakthrough for the local construction materials industry; contributing significantly and actively with Nghe An to successfully implement Resolution 26 of the Politburo, building Nghe An into a political, economic and cultural center of the North Central region. The factory, when put into operation, will produce high-quality cement products, serving island projects, national target programs, combating climate change and exporting to international markets.
The Provincial Party Secretary pledged that the provincial leaders will direct departments, branches, sectors and localities to create the most favorable conditions for investors so that the project can soon come into operation.
