National Commemoration Ceremony of "The Epic of Spring Mau Than 1968"
Thousands of delegates attended the ceremony to celebrate the staged program with the theme "The heroic epic of the Mau Than Spring 1968".
This morning (January 31), in Ho Chi Minh City, the National Commemoration Ceremony of "50 years of the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of Mau Than (1968-2018)" was held by the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Ho Chi Minh City.
The ceremony started at 7:30 a.m. with a theatrical program titled “The Epic of Spring Mau Than 1968” recreating the heroic years of the nation, especially the Mau Than 1968 General Offensive and Uprising through films and revolutionary songs performed by art troupes in Ho Chi Minh City and elaborately staged.

After the dramatization part, which was the main program of the ceremony, the delegates together reviewed the historical days of the General Offensive and Uprising 50 years ago, the days when our army and people achieved resounding victories in the Spring of Mau Than 1968, affirming the unparalleled strength of the revolutionary forces with three prongs of attack, fighting on all three political, military and diplomatic fronts.
Affirming the correctness and uniqueness of Vietnamese military art, the creative talent in combat command of our Party, preparing all conditions and taking advantage of opportunities for "one day equals 20 years" of the victorious Spring of 1975, liberating the South, and unifying the country.
The program will be broadcast live on VOV1 channel by Voice of Vietnam starting from 8:15 - 9:30./.
