According to the newspaper, 2 to 3 million Donald Trump supporters are expected to attend the ceremony on Capitol Hill. Washington officials responsible for public lands have received 23 requests to organize events for and against the President-elect.

More than 3,000 police officers and about 8,000 National Guardsmen will be on duty to maintain crowd order and control traffic in the US capital during the event. In addition, 5,000 active duty military personnel will also be deployed to ensure security.

The New York Times reported that more than 30 law enforcement, intelligence and military agencies have been assigned to ensure security for the new President as well as thousands of guests attending the event. The amount of money the US will have to spend to ensure security for the inauguration will be up to more than 100 million USD.
