Flag-raising ceremony of Navy ships at Ben Thuy Port
(Baonghean.vn) - The General Department of Customs has equipped Nghe An Province Customs Department with modern naval ships and canoes to serve the fight against smuggling at sea, and to participate in search and rescue operations when requested.
On the afternoon of July 4, at Ben Thuy wharf, Nghe An Customs Department held a flag-raising ceremony for patrol ship HQ 16-91-01 and canoe HQ 16-01-01. Attending were representatives of relevant levels, sectors and Vinh City residents.

The HQ 16-91-01 is a modern patrol boat, 16.9 meters long, 4.65 meters wide, with two 1,204 horsepower engines, a maximum speed of 25.5 nautical miles per hour, and an operating area of HC III. The HQ 16-01-01 canoe is 9.7 meters long, 2.2 meters wide, has a 200 horsepower engine, and an operating area of S 1.
The General Department of Customs has provided modern ships and canoes to the Nghe An Provincial Customs Department to improve the fight against smuggling at sea, and to participate in search and rescue when requested.
