At exactly 6:30 a.m. on July 25, the flag-raising ceremony took place solemnly at Ho Chi Minh Square, a special political and cultural structure in the center of Vinh city, Nghe An province.
The funeral of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, was held according to State funeral protocol.
Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong's coffin lies at the National Funeral Home No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi.
The funeral of comrade Nguyen Phu Trong will be held at the National Funeral Home No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on July 25, 2024 and from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on July 26, 2024.
The memorial service for comrade Nguyen Phu Trong will be held at 1:00 p.m. on July 26 at the National Funeral Home No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi.
Funeral at 3:00 p.m. the same day at Mai Dich Cemetery, Hanoi city.
The funeral and memorial service for comrade Nguyen Phu Trong will be held at the same time at Thong Nhat Hall, Ho Chi Minh City and at his hometown in Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi city.
