Launching ceremony of the 2016 summer volunteer campaign in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 5, at Ho Chi Minh Square, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union held a launching ceremony to carry out the peak activities of the 2016 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union. More than 200 union members, youth, students representing 35 volunteer youth teams in the whole province.

In recent years, the youth volunteer movement, culminating in the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, has been growing stronger and stronger, creating an attractive appeal to all classes of youth.

More than 200 young volunteers from universities and colleges in the province, representing 35 provincial youth volunteer teams, came to report to Uncle Ho and held a departure ceremony to participate in the peak activities of the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign from July 5 to July 20, 2016.

After the departure ceremony, the youth volunteer teams will return to their localities to carry out projects bearing the mark of youth volunteers.

Young volunteers will bring their youth, enthusiasm and determination to carry out meaningful youth projects and tasks such as: Participating in new rural construction, teaching summer culture, organizing mobile propaganda, training in science and technology transfer, free medical examination and distribution, etc., contributing to effectively implementing the goals of economic development and poverty reduction in localities.
