SEA Games schedule on August 20: Wushu beauty Thuy Vi opens the gold medal?
At the 28th SEA Games, Duong Thuy Vi "opened" the gold medal for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation and the Wushu beauty queen will likely repeat this fate in today's competition.
Wushu is the earliest event of the day for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation. From 8am to 11am, the gold medal hope, ASIAD champion Duong Thuy Vi, will compete in the swordplay category.

Also this morning, Vietnam wushu will have representatives participating in 2 more finals, Tran Xuan Hiep (men's sword + stick technique), and Hoang Thi Phuong Giang (women's stick technique). In the afternoon, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Vietnam wushu will participate in 3 finals in the categories of men's tai chi sword, men's sword + men's stick, and women's men's fist.
In previous SEA Games, wushu has always been one of the strengths of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation. With 6 final matches, the wushu team is determined to win the first gold medal at the Games, after the regretful days of competition of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation with 3 silver medals, 1 bronze medal in archery and athletics.
In addition to wushu, gymnastics is also expected to win gold medals in today's competition when athletes Dang Nam, Dinh Phuong Thanh, Do Vu Hung, Le Thanh Tung, Pham Phuoc Hung, and Tran Dinh Vuong will participate in the qualifying round and the men's team final.
This morning, the archery team will compete in the men's and women's individual 1-string bow event. After failing to win a gold medal in the previous 3 days of competition, archery is really "thirsty for gold". The biggest hope of archery is female archer Loc Thi Dao.
Also today, table tennis will compete in 3 medal events: men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. In addition, basketball, bowling, synchronized swimming, boxing, and men's futsal will also compete.
