Nghe An Cooperative Alliance opens 2 classes on rattan and bamboo weaving for export

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 20, in Yen Thanh district, Nghe An Cooperative Union coordinated with Thang Loi Handicraft Cooperative to open 2 export rattan and bamboo weaving classes for farmers in Tho Thanh commune.

During the 2-month apprenticeship, in addition to the theory part, the class will spend a lot of time on practice so that students can master simple export rattan and bamboo products such as: flower baskets, ornamental plant baskets; round and oval fruit plates; lanterns and square clothing boxes. In addition, students will also be exposed to the techniques of processing, preserving materials and finishing products, and skillfully use some machinery and equipment for export rattan and bamboo weaving, etc.

By participating in the class, in addition to being exempted from all tuition fees, students will also receive support from Thang Loi Handicraft Cooperative with all materials for practice. At the end of the course, students will have their skills tested and receive a vocational certificate. Students who are interested will work at Thang Loi Handicraft Cooperative, contributing to solving employment during the off-season and increasing income for people in rural areas.
