China's actions are not aimed at absorbing the Russian economy, - that was the statement of President Vladimir Putin at a press conference on the results of his visit to China.

"Russia is not a country that is afraid of anything. And it is absolutely true that China's actions are not aimed at some kind of absorption," Putin said, answering the question whether there is any danger that the Chinese economy will absorb the Russian economy.

"We make decisions together. And we do not make decisions that will cause harm. We only agree to proposals that will bring benefits," Putin added.

As the President noted, “it would be a mistake not to take advantage of the opportunities” that arise as a result of cooperation with China.

"Russia is a country open for cooperation with all countries, and China today is demonstrating such openness to the whole world," Putin remarked, adding that he had previously met with representatives of large foreign businesses.
