30 months in prison for selling drugs
(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Court of Ky Son district has just opened a public first-instance trial for defendant Moong Van Bun (born in 1985, residing in Na Nhu village, Ta Ca commune) for the crime of illegal drug trafficking.
The youngest child in a poor family of four siblings, Moong Van Bun dropped out of school after finishing first grade to follow his parents to the fields. When he grew up, Bun got married and made a living as a porter.

On April 7, 2017, while working for hire in Sa Vang village, Ta Ca commune, Bun bought a package of heroin from a man for 180,000 VND with the intention of reselling it for profit. Then Bun brought it back to his home in Na Nhu village, and divided it into 7 small packages.
At around 4pm that same day, Bun sold 2 packages of heroin to 2 young men in the village for 100,000 VND each. At around 5pm, Bun was caught red-handed by the Ky Son District Police task force and 5 packages of heroin weighing 0.7g were seized. At the investigation agency, Moong Van Bun confessed that the purpose of buying drugs was to sell for profit.
On June 29, 2017, the People's Court of Ky Son district sentenced Moong Van Bun to 30 months in prison for illegal drug trafficking./.
