The 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital is a national event, aiming to widely propagate and educate cadres, party members and people about the important significance of this day. The event affirms the wise leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, and the spirit of national solidarity. At the same time, it honors the strength and determination of the Vietnam People's Army, which is the decisive factor in all victories of the revolution. The celebration is also an opportunity to look back at the great achievements that our Party and people have achieved in the cause of national liberation - national reunification, building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, especially the successes after nearly 40 years of carrying out the country's renovation.
About 3,000 delegates from government agencies, international representatives and Hanoi delegates will attend the event.
The celebration includes two parts, not only to promote but also to express gratitude for the contributions of the people and those who have contributed to the revolution.
The event will also promote the image of Hanoi Capital to international friends and other localities in the country.
An important highlight of the event was the stories from historical witnesses and representatives of the young generation of the capital, thereby arousing pride and awareness of preserving the heroic tradition of Thang Long - Hanoi.
