With the press, there will be 4 steps to complete the oil pressing process, first is peeling the peanuts (some places people can press the shells but on the condition that the peanut shells must be cleaned thoroughly), then drying, then putting them into the press, and finally putting them into the air compressor to produce the finished oil.
According to Ms. Tuyet, 1 000g peanuts will produce 1 can of 5 liters of oil, while for soybeans and sesame, 1 000g will only produce about 1 liter of oil. Because peanuts are readily available, people come to press peanuts and soybeans for use a lot, some people even press them in advance to send to their children in Hanoi and Saigon for use.

Nowadays, the movement of using self-pressed cooking oil is spreading throughout the localities. In the districts of Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc, Thanh Chuong, Dien Chau, almost every locality has facilities for pressing oil manually or by machine to serve the needs of the people. With the press, each facility usually has to invest about more than 100 million VND for the types of machines for grinding, drying, pressing and filtering oil.

For manual oil pressing, the peanuts are ground after being peeled, then steamed (steamed), and finally packed into small packages and put into a press to use hydraulic pressure to press out the oil. The press is a round cylinder, about 80-90cm high, when the peanuts are steamed and heated, the oil will be pressed out. With manual pressing, it will take more time, and all stages require human intervention.
In addition, currently on social networks, many online businesses also sell mini oil presses for home use. However, mini presses often have low capacity and take a long time to press, so very few people use them.

Although the prices of peanuts, sesame, and soybeans on the market are quite high, 1 bird's nest of shelled peanuts costs 350,000 VND, peanuts are 500,000 VND, and a 5-liter can of peanut oil costs 400,000-500,000 VND, while the price of a 5-liter can of industrial oil on the market is only 150,000-200,000 VND. If compared, it is clear that self-pressed oil is 2 to 3 times more expensive, but people still use it.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, Nam Dan town shared, now there are all kinds of food on the market but the quality is unknown, while peanuts can be bought from people in season to store, when they are finished they are pressed, each liter of oil costs only 30,000 VND for labor, although it is more expensive than oil in the market but the quality is more guaranteed. Ms. Nga also questioned, the price of peanuts and soybeans on the market is so high, while a 5 liter can of oil costs only 150,000 VND, it is hard to believe.

Ms. Phan Thi Huong in Ben Thuy Ward (Vinh City) said: In recent years, she has not bought vegetable oil from the market anymore but has switched to using home-pressed peanut oil. Every time she returns to her hometown, Ms. Huong asks her siblings to buy peanuts in advance to store. In addition to using the pressed oil at home, Ms. Huong also sends it to her children who are studying in Hanoi, because according to her, she knows that the product will be more secure than oil bought at the market. Especially in Hanoi recently, we have heard a lot about dirty oil and dirty animal fat, so we just press it in advance and send it to our children to use.
Many people said that they are used to using home-pressed oil, now if they switch to the oil bought in the market, it is difficult to eat. Peanut oil is golden yellow, thicker so it is also less expensive./.
