While engrossed in her phone screen trying to catch Pokemon at the park, a robber snatched her iPhone 6 Plus. Luckily, the robber was immediately arrested by security guards along with the stolen goods.
On the afternoon of August 9, Ben Thanh Ward Police, District 1 (Ho Chi Minh City) prepared a file to hand over Nguyen Van Hieu (born in 1997, temporarily residing in District 3) to District 1 Police to investigate the act of "Robbery". The victim was Ms. Nguyen Hoang Ngoc Tram (born in 1981, temporarily residing in District 10).
Accordingly, at around 10:20 p.m. on August 8, Hieu discovered Ms. Tram engrossed in her phone screen catching Pokemon at Tao Dan Park, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1. Seeing that there were no people around, Hieu approached from behind, snatched Ms. Tram's iPhone 6 Plus, and escaped.

At this time, Ms. Tram shouted to let everyone know that her phone was snatched. Luckily, the park security guard, Mr. Vo Thien Thanh, heard the screams and chased after the robber and restrained him with the stolen goods. The suspect Hieu was immediately taken to Ben Thanh Ward Police Station, District 1 for processing.
Pokemon GO game officially appeared in Vietnam less than a week but attracted many young people, especially in Ho Chi Minh City area to participate. This game gives players the feeling of excitement when catching their favorite Pokemon.
