The 9X actress always remembers the love scene with the famous singer in her MV and feels lucky to be known by many audiences.

- Your emotional performance with My Tam in the MV "Don't Ask Me" caught the attention of the audience. As a new face, what opportunity helped you collaborate with the singer?

- My Tam's team saw me through photos online and in the previous MV Em gai mua by singer Huong Tram. At first, My Tam refused because she didn't know my ability. Even though she didn't accept, she still watched another video of mine and then called me to the casting.My Tam is very careful in everything. She said she doesn't need to choose someone famous, just someone who fits the role and has enthusiasm.Seeing the looks and recognizing my enthusiasm and dedication, she gave me a chance.

When I found out I was chosen to appear in My Tam's new music video, I was shocked and couldn't believe it.15 minutes later calmed down.My Tam shares with me everything is fate. I really feel lucky.I had two days to study the script to get the role.

- How did you feel the first time you acted in a love scene with My Tam?

- Receiving the role, I was both happy and pressured. Acting with an idol, a star like her, I was very nervous and shy. Seeing me nervous, My Tam took the initiative to ask questions and talk to create a sense of familiarity. That is something I really appreciate. Thanks to that, the two sisters coordinated well. When we both felt comfortable, the work went very smoothly. I learned a lot from her, from acting to how to handle work thoughtfully and smoothly.

- What are your memories of working with My Tam?

- The two scenes that impressed me the most were when My Tam hugged me from behind and I kissed her. At that time, I thought to myself, "Oh my god."I feel so excited because I have liked and admired My Tam for a long time.everything is going so wellMy Tam's fans kept asking me: "Why did you dare to kiss my sister?". I felt really lucky, happy and forgot the pressure.

- We are friends, getting to know each other and giving each other a chance. We are young and busy with work. Whether Huong Tram and I are destined to be together or not, let time tell.

Em gai mua is the product that marked the meeting of both of them. While choosing the actors, the director saw me in the program Mat mat dien dien 2017. At that time, I played a role that required me to cry a lot and was praised for my emotions. After that, they found my Facebook, at that time I had a profile picture of me wearing a white shirt, they saw that I was suitable for the role so they contacted me.

- How do you feel when female audiences share that they are "crazy" about your appearance?

- I'm happy when my friends compliment me on my handsomeness. It feels great to be known by everyone. That's my success.

Every day, fans send me so many letters and messages that I can’t reply to them all. I’m afraid people will think I’m arrogant, but I really don’t have time to reply to each one.They even wanted to meet, to send private messages. There were letters that really impressed me: "Dear, if you just read my messages, I can die." I had to get used to it because it changed my life. Everything happened so fast and also thanks to luck.

Since before I started my career, I have received many flirtations from people of the same sex. At that time, I only responded politely. I am a clear person in all relationships.

- How do you think your appearance has helped you on your career path?

- NAppearance is just one factor. Beauty alone is not enough, you must also have talent. And talent must go hand in hand with virtue. For me, talent is really important in this profession. I want people to know me as a real actor, Mai Tai Phen, not a hot boy.Appearance helps me 35% of today's success. Ability also accounts for 35%, the rest is enthusiasm.

I never thought I was handsome, because there were many people out there who were more beautiful than me. I just thought I was cute. People often said I was charming, strong and worldly. When I was in school, I was called the most masculine person in school because of my dark skin.

- You have been in the profession for 5 years. Why is your name only recently known?

- Before, I was still inexperienced and incompetent. I spent three years studying and working at the University of Theatre and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City. After graduating, I worked for two more years. I did many jobs, carrying props, pressing music, being an extra, acting in music videos, I did everything. During that process, I learned many things and told myself never to be discouraged. I never put my ego above my own when I had nothing. There was a time when I focused so much on work that I didn't text my friends or go out. After 5 years, I have improved and received the results of my previous learning process. I think what I have today is worthy of what I have been through.

- What difficulties did you encounter when you moved from your hometown Bac Lieu to Saigon to study and then enter showbiz?

- In the past 5 years, there were times when my salary was only 100-200 thousand VND, even 50 thousand VND. I didn't care how much I received, as long as there was work, I would do it. I just thought about how to earn more money. I have experienced times when I had no money left. But I think that is completely normal. No one in this world has not borrowed money at least once. The important thing is to be responsible for it and find a way to not have to borrow again.

I was so bored that I wondered whether I should continue working in this profession. When I competed in the Face of Cinema contest, I was assigned a difficult role, I practiced for seven days but couldn't do it. I felt like crying but couldn't. Then I remembered my family and that became my motivation.

I was also lucky to be born into a well-off family with parents who were traders in Bac Lieu. I did not have to work hard to support my family. But that did not make me dependent. As a man, the eldest son, I wanted to live independently to challenge myself and see how far my abilities could go.

- What did you find most difficult when entering the entertainment industry?

- The hardest part is maintaining my image and keeping the audience. I'm trying to choose roles that are suitable and to my taste. Roles that require deep inner feelings are my forte.

- How is your life in Saigon now?

- Since I became well-known, I still rent a house, even though my salary has increased. In Saigon, buying a house or a car is not easy, you have to work hard and save a lot. But in fact, being famous helps me have more opportunities in work. My parents just want me to live comfortably according to my interests, and work to make them proud. When I have the opportunity, I want to take my parents on a trip.

Before, I lived a very simple, normal life. Now, when I go out, I think that everyone is looking at me. Therefore, I have to pay attention to my clothes, hair, and communication. Everything cannot be as sloppy as before.
