After dropping the phrase phenomenon, Leicester once again proved that they are not a strong team but too strong this season. If talking about going to the Etihad Stadium and playing for Man City to lose convincingly, fans have to think about the level of Barca and Bayern, but Leicester showed that they are ready to beat any opponent.

Leicester shocked the home team with a third-minute goal from Robert Huth during their trip to the Etihad. The story repeated itself in the second half with an early goal from Riyad Mahrez, before Robert Huth scored his second goal to make it 3-0.

This victory helps Leicester maintain the top spot in the Premier League with 53 points, six more than the second team, Man City. The two teams in third and fourth place, Tottenham and Arsenal, have 45 points each but will surpass Man City if they win in round 25.

The match at Etihad was likened to a "six-point match" when Leicester and Man City were leading the Premier League. Man City entered the match with the goal of winning to dethrone their opponents, but Leicester showed great courage and fighting spirit. The away team entered the match confidently, not wavering and maintaining their typical style of play to bring home the most impressive victory since the beginning of the season.

Leicester continued their direct attack with the fastest passes up front. Among them, Jamie Vardy was still the outstanding face. The English striker made the central defenders Otamendi and Demichelis helpless before his lightning-fast sprints but unfortunately could not score despite facing Joe Hart twice.

Not only counter-attacking dangerously, Leicester's defense was also steady against Man City's stars. The trio of Aguero, Silva and Sterling were restrained and put under pressure every time they had the ball. In particular, Leicester's central midfielders Kante and Drinkwater often followed David Silva, preventing Man City's conductor from creating any breakthrough situations.

As for Man City, Coach Pellegrini had to suffer a bitter defeat not only because Leicester was too good but also because of the storm of injuries that was raging. Before this match, the Chilean coach had only 14 healthy players left in the first team and had to promote some young players to the bench. Losing two central defenders, Kompany and Mangala, forced Coach Pellegrini to put Demichelis on the field and his favorite student from his time at Malaga made him pay the price.

Demichelis was the worst player in the Man City defense and was directly involved in all three goals. The 35-year-old center-back was defeated by his colleague Robert Huth in both set-piece situations that required pressure. Demichelis was also not alert enough and was easily fooled by Mahrez to make it 2-0. Not stopping there, the Argentine player was also too slow in the race with Vardy.

Aguero's late goal was a mere consolation for Man City. The referees didn't even notice that the striker was offside.

Leicester looked set to struggle in the climb but they have won all of the games, scoring eight goals against Man City, Liverpool and Stoke. If they beat Arsenal again in their next game, the Premier League conversation will shift from "can Leicester win the title?" to "who can catch Leicester?"
