(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the Asian Football Confederation after the quarter-final match, the SLNA midfielder said: "Our goal in the new year is to further improve our physical fitness and become more tactically proficient."
When asked about VAR - the technology first applied at the Asian Cup starting from the Vietnam vs Japan match, midfielder Phan Van Duc answered AFC: "I think this is a good debut of VAR technology in this year's tournament. It brings fairness to both sides. The referee was right to award a penalty to Japan, after checking with VAR."
"We tried our best today, but it was still not enough to go further in the tournament. I would like to apologize to all Vietnamese fans and thank them for cheering for the team throughout the tournament. Our goal in the new year is to further improve our physical condition and become more proficient in tactics," said the SLNA midfielder.
