The tricks of a giant casino in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - The casino is located in the middle of a peaceful countryside, guarded closely by dozens of disciples, no one can go in or out. Every day, the casino is only open for 2 hours.
This casino emerged in 2017, gathering people from many places such as Ha Tinh province, Vinh city and Quynh Luu and Nam Dan districts... with many different professions, from protection rackets, loan sharks to food traders.

Secure casino, multiple layers of security
The gambling den is located in the rice fields of Yen Thanh district, surrounded by vast rice fields on three sides, with little traffic. The road leading to the den is a small village road, and if not guided, it is very difficult for new gamblers to find its hiding place. The gamblers’ vehicles are parked in a large garage, surrounded by a 2m high solid corrugated iron wall. If gamblers want to come and play, they will have to wait until the door opens.

Every day, the casino is only open for 2 hours, starting from 4pm to 6pm. Latecomers will not be allowed in, and those who have finished playing will have to wait until the end of the hour to leave. The casino assigns about 20 “disciples” divided into many layers of guards. These layers of guards will carefully check and question those who want to come and play. After meeting all the conditions, the gamblers will pay 500,000 VND “pool” money before entering the casino. The casino is fully equipped, with food and beverage services for gamblers to “gamble” with each other.
“This gambling den has clearly and specifically assigned roles and subordinates, and a very high level of secrecy. Whoever does what, and what role is assigned, all strictly follow. From the entrance to the gambling den, there are layers of security, and the detectives have encountered them many times, but with the cleverness of the officers and soldiers, these subjects did not suspect anything” - Major Nguyen Anh Tuan, Captain of Team 4, Department of Investigation Police on Drug Crimes said.
Raid and destroy the bunker
After more than a month of research, monitoring and synchronous use of professional measures, under the direction of the provincial police leadership, directly by Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the provincial police, Head of the Investigation Police Agency, the Special Task Force decided to solve the case.
On January 14, the Task Force immediately deployed forces to coordinate with 20 Mobile Police comrades. The reconnaissance teams were divided into several groups according to their tasks. Each group "handled" the layers of security neatly, not letting "pulling the strings and disturbing the forest", while the remaining group ambushed to attack the "bunker".

"After neutralizing the security guards, we approached the gambling den and divided into 4 reconnaissance teams to attack in 4 directions: the pond area, 2 fields near the gambling den's shack and the front area" - Major Nguyen Anh Tuan, Team Leader of Team 4, Drug Crime Investigation Police Department said.
After successfully breaking into the gambling den, nearly a hundred subjects fiercely fought back and used firearms in an attempt to escape, but with bravery and careful preparation, the detectives controlled and captured 74 subjects and brought them to the investigation agency.
When the police raided to arrest them, the suspects tried to climb onto the roof and run to the neighboring houses, but were all arrested because the task force had anticipated the situation.

At the scene, the police seized 1 deck of cards, 1 set of dishes, 8 cars, 2 motorbikes and about 500 million VND in cash, hot weapons such as daggers and swords and a small amount of synthetic drugs.
The 74 gamblers were all prominent figures with many criminal records, but they seemed quite surprised to be surrounded and arrested in such a fortified "bunker".
