Family conflict, husband committed suicide by drinking pesticide

(Baonghean.vn) - At 5:00 p.m. on February 16, Tan Ky District General Hospital received a patient with severe pesticide poisoning suspected of committing suicide.

The victim was Mr. Nguyen Van Kh. (44 years old), residing in Nghia Phuc commune, Tan Ky district. According to Ms. Lang Thi H., Mr. Kh.'s wife, when she returned home from work, she was shocked to see her husband lying motionless on the floor, blood flowing from his mouth, with two containers of weed killer next to him.

Mr. Kh. was quickly taken to the emergency room at Tan Ky District General Hospital by his family. Upon arrival at the hospital, the victim was lethargic, foaming at the mouth, his breath smelled strongly of pesticides, and his limbs were cold. Doctors administered IV fluids, washed his intestines, and administered diuretics to save Mr. Kh. from the critical condition.

Currently, Mr. Kh.’s health has stabilized and he will be discharged from the hospital in the next few days. However, doctors warn: Pesticide poisoning can leave serious consequences such as pulmonary aspiration, arrhythmia, etc.

According to Ms. H., in the past few days, the couple had conflicts, quarrels and anger because he often drank heavily and she kept reminding him but he refused to change. Maybe he was angry with his wife and thought of something stupid.
